One House Artists

Returning in 2017 with a new sound after taking time to reflect and channel their inspiration, their Orissa EP marks their self liberation and a start of a run of releases which has seen Wayward solidify their burgeoning reputation as producers and DJ’s.

The last 12 months has seen the duo consisting of Louis Greenwood and Lawrence Hayes release a trio of EP’s on Silver Bear Recordings which continues to gather momentum with their latest Good Afternoon Mr Magpie EP epitomising their knack for bridging the gap between the dancefloor and the more soulful side of electronic music

Their Good Afternoon Mr Magpie EP was premiered in Mixmag and named in their Big Tunes feature for April. Ample support across radio waves on BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, KCRW, Beats In Space and Rinse FM all followed with the duo guesting on the latter frequently.

Recent live highlights include playing Room 2 at Fabric earlier this summer with other dates across the capital alongside the likes of Marcellus Pittman, Jeremy Underground, O’ Flynn and Big Miz.

Mixmag – “Duo Wayward continue to build momentum on the Silver Bear imprint with their new ‘Good Afternoon Mr Magpie’ EP, which features a dreamy and emotive title track that plays with intricate rhythms and immersive atmospherics”.

Juno ”Wayward unleash the colourfully title ‘Good Afternoon Mr Magpie” to the world. Every bit as sunkissed and earthy as you’d expect from the title and the duo’s past pedigree, there’s a slight shuffle and almost garage feel to the beats while a wild wood calling vocal and tropical weave of sounds and textures wave ensure full immersion.”

Deep House Amsterdam – “Hotly tapped as one of House Music’s most auspicious emerging pairs”
